Cheesy Bacon and Egg Brunch Casserole

  • eight slices bacon
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 loaf Italian bread, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup cottage cheese
  • five eggs
  • 1 half cups milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon McCormick® Ground Mustard
  • half teaspoon McCormick® Ground Nutmeg
  • 1/four teaspoon McCormick® Black Pepper, Ground

Instructions :

  • Preheat oven to 350 stages F. Cook bacon in huge skillet until crisp. Reserve 2 tablespoons of the drippings. Drain bacon on paper towels; crumble and set aside. Add onion to drippings in skillet; cook and stir three mins or until softened.

  • Beat eggs in medium bowl until foamy. Add milk, mustard, nutmeg and pepper; beat till nicely blended. Pour flippantly over top. Press bread cubes lightly into egg aggregate till completely covered. Let stand 10 mins.
  • Bake 40 to 50 minutes or until middle is set and pinnacle is golden brown.

  • Make Ahead: Casserole can be assembled 1 day in advance. Prepare as directed, increasing milk to 2 cups. Cover and keep in refrigerator. Remove cowl and bake as directed.
